Carmel Girls XC Wins the Flashrock Invitational

The Carmel Girls Cross Country continued their winning ways by outdistancing 9 state ranked teams, including #4 state ranked Homestead, to win the Flashrock Invitational and Northview Church. The TEAM was once again lead the duo of Annabel Pollert-Jr. (2nd place) and Larkin Taylor-Jr. (3rd place) in the 192 runner field. Pollert's time of 17:22 for 5K was a personal best. Other important scorers for the TEAM were Margo Halle-So., Kaitlyn Oshimura-Sr., Anna Yoon-Jr., Elise Maurer-Jr., Lilliana Cate-Sr., Ashley Kent-Fr., Ellie Smith-Sr., Arden Finley-Sr., and Maija Gilhooly-Jr. Next, the TEAM travel to Lavern Gibson cross country facility in Terre Haute for the NIke Twilight Meet where they hope to defend their title from 2024. In the Junior Varisty race, Senior Maddie Cox was the overall winner in the field of 244 runners. She led the TEAM in a perfect score of 15 points. The Greyhounds beat 14 other teams. Other JV scorers were Caroline Maurer-Fr., Emma Kistler-Sr., Izzie Shin-So., Annabelle Inman-Jr., Lily Kamstra-Fr., and Katie Zhuravlev-So. The is was JV TEAM's 6th consecutive win this season.
