The boys' soccer team ended a busy week of games with their first loss of the season on the road at Homestead. After a sluggish start, the Hounds found themselves down 0-1. They were able to tie it up 1-1 when senior Evan Bardos found the back of the net off an assist from junior Mikey Kubek. Homestead was able to jump right back in the lead shortly after, adding to their total to make the score 1-2. The Greyhounds were able to tie it back up at 2-2 when senior Xander Dora finished off a pass sent in by senior Troy Enslin. The next two goals were scored by Homestead, extending their lead to 2-4. The Hounds continued to pressure Homestead when Kubek hit a beautiful volley to bring the score 3-4. The team continued to press, hitting the post and creating several other opportunities, only to come up empty, leaving the final score 3-4. The #3 Greyhounds return to action for their final home match of the season when #13 Noblesville comes to Murray Stadium Tuesday, September 23. The loss drops the team's record to 8-1-2 on the season.
