Greyhounds Run Fast at Cleland 4K

Running in their home opener at Northview Church on 8/23/25, the Carmel Girls Cross Country team fared well in the Cleland 4K. The race has a Freshmen/Sophomore race and Junior/Senior race format. In the 9th/10th race, the team finished a close 2nd by 5 points and were lead by the top Elise Maurer-So. and Margo Halle-So. who finished 6th and 7th respectively in field of 226 runners. Other scorers for the team were Ashley Kent-Fr./11th, Kalinda Lee-So./15th, and Molly Foley-Fr./24th. Izzie Shin-10th and Caroline Maurer-9th round at the top 7 for the team. In the Junior/Senior race, the Greyhounds had a domininating win and were lead by Annabel Pollert-Jr/1st who continued her winning way with her first place finish in the field of 189. Next, Larkin Taylor-Jr./2nd outdistanced the next finisher by :56. Other scorers were Anna Yoon-Jr./11th, Kaitlyn Oshimura-Sr./16th, and Lilliana Cate-Sr./19th. Arden Finely-Sr./25th and Noelle Avila-Sr./26th rounded out the team's top 7. Next up for the Greybounds is the Hamilton County Championship on 8/30/25.
