What if I told you... a high school team won 39 straight state championships. The longest streak in all of sports is on the line Saturday at the IUPUI Natatorium. The Carmel Girls Swimming & Diving team will be eyeing their 40th consecutive state championship, which is the longest streak all-time in any sport in the Nation! The Greyhounds have positioned themselves for another great State Meet qualifying 23 of 27 possible swims to the Friday State Prelims. Helena Gibson and Emily Linder qualified for the diving prelims on Saturday morning. New York St., Indianapolis Admission: All tickets will be digital through your mobile phone and may be purchased through Eventlink (additional fees may apply) beginning Monday, Feb. 9 at 9 am ET / 8 CT. Present your purchase verification on your mobile phone at the gate for admission. $15 per session general admission. Children 5 years and younger admitted free for general admission seating only. A limited number of $35 reserved seating tickets will be available for purchase (good for both days) (8 tickets per purchase max). Reserved seating for a single session is not available. Streaming: All competition will be streamed live at IHSAAtv.org and the IHSAAtv suite of apps (iPhone, Android phone, Roku, Amazon Firestick, AppleTV, and Android TV) via pay-per-view for $15 for Friday's preliminaries only or $20 for both days. Advancement The top 16 in each swimming event during Friday’s prelims will return for competition on Saturday with the top eight individuals vying for state championship honors. Those finishing nine through 16 on Friday will make up the competitors in the consolation heats. All diving will take place on Saturday with the top 20 of 32 competitors advancing from the prelims to the semis after five dives each. After three dives each in the semis, the top 16 will advance to the final round for another three dives each. Meet Results Results from this weekend's meet will be posted at Meet Mobile, a subscription-based swimming app. A full set of results will be posted here at the conclusion of the meet.
