The # 3 Greyhounds traveled #6 Brownsburg Wednesday evening and defeated the Bulldogs in a hard fought game 1-0. Senior Olivia Cebalo registered her 21st goal of the season off a pass from senior Vaughn Rohrbacher 27 minutes into the first half. Although Carmel created several more good scoring chances, the Bulldogs defense prevailed for the rest of the match. The Hounds defense only allowed 6 Brownsburg shots, none of which really tested goalkeeper Mary Grace Knapp who posted her 7th shutout of the season. As often is the case, the Greyhound midfield played exceptionally well. The normal starting group of Cameron Love, Kate Klinginsmith, Emma Ehret and Elsie Flanders received some defensive help from Annie Keleher to close out the game. The team record is now 15-3-2. The girls will next play #9 ranked East Central in the IHSAA Regional # 27 final at Carmel's Murray Stadium. The game will be played Saturday, October 19 at 2 PM.
