Greyhounds 2nd out of 29 at Culver

The Carmel Girls Cross Country TEAM competed in the Culver Invitational at Culver Academy on Saturday, 9/28/24. The harriers were somewhat depleted by sickness but still managed to finish a close 2nd place to a top ranked team from Penn. There were 24 teams in the race. Annabel Pollert-So., ran an outstanding race to finish 2nd overall in a field of 221 runners. Other scorers for the Greyhounds were Olivia Mundt-Sr., (11th), Ella Gaddis-Sr., (12th), Ella Weaver-Fr., (15th), Katy Dascoli-Sr. (19th), Charlotte Konow-Sr., (22nd), and Noelle Avila-Jr., (25th). Other varsity runners for the TEAM were Lilliana Cate-Jr., Kaitlyn Oshimura-Jr., and Kalinda Lee-Fr. The TEAM competes next in the NIKE Twilight meet at LaVern Gibson in Terre Haute on 10/5/2024. In the JV race, the Greyhounds won with a perfect score and were lead by race winner, Maija Gilhooly-So., who outdistanced the field of 283. The Greyhounds secured the first 16 places in the race.
