JV Blue Win to Close

The JV Blue girls finished off their season with a 2-0 win over Westfield. This comes after a tough loss to Zionsville on Saturday at home. The weekend game proved to provide tough competition for the girls. Despite a one goal lead for much of the game, the Hounds gave up two goals. Even then, they walked off their home field with all effort left on the turf. The lone Carmel goal was scored by Emery Simmonds. Bethany Cullington served the ball across the 18 and Simmonds placed it into the side netting with one touch. Monday’s win was a sweet victory with two second half goals. The first goal was scored by Kathryn Latham after some connections in the box by Sophie Imler and Tati Boskovich. The final Greyhound goal of the season was secured by Bridget Cardinal. This series of touches was initiated from a corner by Garet McCoy. Latham and Boskovich both got touches in hopes to score. Cardinal hustled through some Rocks traffic to finish the play, leaving no doubt the Hounds would leave their host scoreless. Congratulations on a great 13-3 season!
