The Class of 2025 celebrated Senior Night with the rest of their teammates as they defeated Plainfield 3-0 at Murray Stadium on Wednesday. Senior Mary Grace Knapp collected her 4th shutout of the year and senior Olivia Cebalo scored a goal to raise her team leading tally to 13. While it was a great night for the seniors, several juniors and sophomores had something to say about the final score, too. Junior Kate Klinginsmith scored the game winner and her second goal of the week on an assist from junior Ryan Weber. Klinginsmith then added to her team leading assist number (5, tied with Cebalo and Emma Ehret) with a helper to sophomore Elsie Flanders on the second goal of the evening. Flanders paid it forward by assisting Cebalo on her goal. The team record moves to 9-3-2 with two games remaining in the regular season. The girls will meet two IHSAA Sectional 10 rivals, Zionsville and Westfield, to end the season. #3 Carmel faces #10 Zionsville on Saturday morning at Murray Stadium then gathers to watch the sectional draw on Sunday. The Greyhounds will travel to #8 Westfield on Monday evening.
