Carmel GXC-5th Straight Win at Brown County (Eagle Classic)

The Carmel Girls Cross Country TEAM competed in the 17 team Eagle Classic in Brown County on Saturday, 9/14/2024. The Carmel Girls Harriers secured their 5th win with a winning point total of 55 points over 2nd place Columbus North who had 99. Once again, the TEAM was lead by Sadie Foley-Jr., who was 5th in a field of 164 runners. Other scorers for the Greyhounds were Larkin Taylor-So. (7th), Annabel Pollert-So. (9th), Margo Halle-Fr. (11th), and Kaitlyn Oshimura-Jr. (28th). Seniors Ella Gaddis (32nd) and Katy Dascoli (33rd) ensured the win by placing in front top scorers from other teams. This week, the Greyhounds return to their home course of Northview to compete in the Flashrock Invitational. In the competitive JV race fielding 257 runners and 12 teams, the JV Greyhounds secured their 5th straight win by tallying a perfect score of 15. Kalinda Lee-Fr. lead the way in winning by individual race, but was closely followed by Arden Finley-Jr. (2nd), Ellie Smith-Jr. (3rd), Noelle Avila-Jr. (4th), Raya Chauhan-Sr. (5th), Sofia Vasquez-Sr. (6th), and Elise Maurer-Fr. (7th).
