Carmel GXC-4th Straight Win At Brownsburg Invite

The Carmel Girls Cross Country TEAM competed in the 29 team Brownsburg Invitational on Saturday, September 7, 2024, held on an ideal day for running. The TEAM continued its winning ways with a convincing score of 20 points and placing their 5 scorers in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. They rounded out their scoring by placing 15th and 16th. Second place was 46 points behind the Greyhounds. Leading the TEAM were Sadie Foley(Jr.)-2nd place, Annabel Pollert(So.)-3rd place, Larkin Taylor(So.)-4th place, Margo Halle(Fr.)-5th place, Olivia Mundt(Sr.)-6th place, and seniors Ella Gaddis(15th), Katy Dascoli(16th). All seven runners recorded a season best or personal best time ranging from 18:22-18:37 for the 5000m race. Other varsity performers recording personal best times were, Kaitlyn Oshimura(Jr.), Charlotte Konow(Sr.), Lilliana Cate(Jr.), Kalinda Lee(Fr.), and Noelle Avila(Jr.). In the JV race, Maija Gilhooly(So.) won her 2nd straight race. The TEAM recorded a perfect score by claiming the first 15 spots in the race.
