Carmel Drops Away Game to Nations #4 Ranked Notre Dame Academy 1-2

A tired pack of Greyhounds returned to campus Saturday evening after a tough loss to Notre Dame Academy. Playing the Pandas at 12:30, after a hard fought battle with Mishawaka Marian on Friday, proved to be too much for the Greyhounds. Greyhound track and field state champion Olivia Cebalo played the full 80 minutes in each game and looked like she had enough energy to play again after the game. Cebalo was responsible for every Carmel shot on goal in the game and scored our lone goal. While NDA tried to stop Olivia with different defensive tactics and personnel, the only thing that stopped her was the game clock. Notre Dame scored their second goal later in the second half. The Greyhounds had several very good chances late but were unable to equalize. The team record is now 5-2-1. Next week features two games against ranked teams with Penn coming to Murray Stadium on Wednesday night followed by a road trip to Chesterton on Saturday.
