The Varsity Boys' Soccer team kicked off a seven-game road trip with a hard-fought win at #9 Pike. The Hounds and Red Devils battled to a 0-0 halftime score. With 16 minutes left on the clock, Senior Chasen Cunningham found Senior Matthew Schilt who ran with the ball and hit a beautiful shot from distance to put the Greyhounds up 1-0. About seven minutes later, Senior Eli Roberts drew a penalty kick and Cunningham stepped up to finish the PK to extend the lead to 2-0. Pike drew one back with a hard-hit free kick just outside the box. The Hounds withstood the Red Devils pressure to preserve the 2-1 victory. The win raises the Greyhound's season record to 2-0-0 and they are currently ranked #2. The team continues their road swing next Tuesday, August 27th at Greenfield-Central. JV Kicks off at 6:00 with Varsity kickoff to follow.
