In an early season clash between preseason #2 Carmel vs #3 Zionsville, the Greyhounds were able to find the back of the net in the second half and hold on for a 1-0 victory. After a scoreless first half, senior Eli Roberts served a ball to junior Troy Enslin who finished a one-touch volley for the only goal of the game. From that point, the Hounds defended well as a unit to keep the Eagles' attack at bay. Sophomore Aidan Gostomelsky recorded the shutout. The Hounds' current record is 1-0-0. The Greyhounds return to action on Monday, August 19th when they travel to play at preseason #9 Pike. The JV game kicks off at 5:30 with the Varsity kick-off to follow. In JV action today, the Hounds gave up a late second-half goal to drop their season opener 0-1.
