In the final event of the season, the Greyhounds came from behind to claim victory in the 4x400m relay. Having won this event last year, there was a definite target on their back. The girls did not flinch. 3 of the 4 girls were returning from last years championship squad. The team of Gaby Grande Rosas, Sadie Foley, Olivia Cebalo and Emily Norris won the 4x400m relay for the 2nd year in a row, with a time of 3:50.90. Gaby Grande Rosas ran the first leg for the Hounds, putting the team in the top 3, with great position. Handing off to the newcomer in the squad, Sadie Foley. Sadie maintained thier positon in 3rd, handing off to 400m veteran Olivia Cebalo. Cebalo made a great move catching up to HSE and North Central, virtually tied. Cebalo handed off to Emily Norris. Norris fell to 3rd in the first turn, but at about 150 meters to go, turned it on. Emily closed with a 55.86 (the fastest 400m of the night), to pass HSE and North Central with about 10 meters to go, to grab the win for the Carmel Greyhounds. The 3:50.90 was the 2nd fastest time ever for a Carmel 4x400m relay. All 4 will be returning next season.
