Greyhounds Run 3rd at Twilight

After winning the Nike Twilight meet in 2024 and 2025, the Girls Cross Country TEAM ran a strong 3rd in Saturday's 44 team nationaly attended meet in Terre Haute on 10/3/26. In state rival, Fort Wayne Homestead, won the meet while Prospect from Illinois was 2nd. There was only a 9 point spread between 1st and 3rd. Seniors Annabel Pollert and Larkin Taylor had strong races to finish 6th and 11st respectively in the 408 runner field. Freshman Olivia Ruch continued her string of consistent races by placing in the top 50. Other scorers for the TEAM were Margo Halle-Jr., Riley Myers-Jr, Katie Zhuravlev-Jr, and Jade Gaczkowski-So. Zhuravlev has improved :33 in 2 weeks to make the varsity 7 for the Greyhounds. In the open race, the Greyhouinds 2nd line of defense easily won this race that had 78 teams. The open race is like a varisty race and helps accommodate the volume of runners in the Championship Race. The TEAM was lead by these scoring runners who all has personal best or season best times. Juniors Izzie Shin and Kalinda Lee. Also, Emma Meisner-Sr., Molly Foley-So. and Jasmine Krebs-Fr. Next up for the Greyhounds is the Sectional Championship at North Central on 10/17/2026.
