The boys' soccer team put together its best two halves of the season on the road, earning a hard-fought 1-0 win against Westfield. The Hounds put the pressure on early, creating several solid scoring chances inside the box. However, Westfield's goalkeeper had a strong performance, turning back almost every opportunity to keep the match scoreless deep into the game. The difference-maker came late in the second half. Senior Max Housholder won a ball in the midfield and drove forward, drawing in the Shamrock defense before slipping a pass to junior Matthew Gillihan. Gillihan finished the opportunity, putting the Greyhounds ahead 1-0. On the defensive end, senior Gray Morgan and junior Kevin Gillihan shared duties in goal, combining to secure the shutout. The Hounds are back on the pitch tomorrow night for a home match against Homestead. It is the annual Pack the House / Make Good Decisions / Indiana Lifeline Law Game. The kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM.
