The Women's cross country team competed in the regional round of the IHSAA tournament held at Brownsburg. With clear, dry weather and a fast course, the Greyhounds were able to put together a competitive team effort in the field of 25 qualifying teams. The Hounds were led by SO Sadie Foley (18:22) finishing fifth overall. Foley put herself in the lead pack early and battle several top runners to finish with the team's lowest points. SR Audrey Ricketts (19:04) ran a competitive second half of the race to place 14th. FR Larkin Taylor (19:10) battled throughout to finish 18th. FR Annabel Pollert (19:21.0) and SR Cara Naas (19:21.8) blasted through to the finish placing 25th and 26th respectively. SR Emersyn Weaver (19:25.7) took 28th and JR Charlotte Konow (19:56.2) took 36th to round out the squad's competitors in the race. The team finished second place overall to a strong North Central squad by a score of 70 - 88. The team does advance to next week's IHSAA State Meet held at the Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute.
