The Carmel Girls Cross Country TEAM won the Brownsburg Invite on 9/5/26 to notch their first win of the season as the march toward the state tournament in October. By placing 3 runners in the top 9, the Greyhounds outdistanced Hamilton Country rival, Guerin, by 8 points along with 20 other teams. Senior Annabel Pollert was the overall race winner. She was 1st in a field of 220 runners and she nearly equaled her school record by running 17:00 for 5K. Two-time returning All-Stater, Larkin Taylor, was a strong 3rd in her first race of the season. Also, Freshman, Olivia Ruch, covered the 5K distance in 18:58 to finish 9th. Rounding out the TEAM scoring was Riley Myers(Jr.)-18th, Elise Maurer(Jr.)-28th, Ashley Kent(So.)-34th, and Berkley Taylor(Fr.)-38th.
