The boys cross country team won the first ever North Central in a newly restructured IHSAA tournament, scoring a scant 24 points buoyed by the 1-2 finish of seniors Tony Provenzano in a course record 15:22 and Kyle Grove, also under the old course record, in 15:35 Incorporating good pack running, senior Thomas Biltimier finished fifth in 15:57 with junior Jack Capes in a season best of 15:59 to finish sixth. Junior Kiefer Jay ended scoring in tenth overall in 16:16 with senior Max Meisner (16:27) and sophomore Carter Buhr (16:44) earning all-sectional honors in 12th and 14th place, respectively. The 'Hounds will next compete in the new Brownsburg Regional on October 21 at Brownsburg East Middle School with the top five teams advancing to state finals on October 28 on the famed LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
