Seniors Sadie Foley and Quinn Wu have been named as the recipients of the Carmel High School Mental Attitude Award. The awards are considered the highest recognition given by the athletic department each year. Nominations and voting are conducted by all varsity head coaches. Sadie Foley has been a four year member of the cross country and track and field programs. Miss Foley was a member of three state championship teams during her running career (2 cross country, 1 track). A three-time Cross Country All-State recipient, she tied the school record this past fall. Her achievements in track and field have been equally as impressive. Sadie scored in the 2023, 2024, and 2025 state meets while delivering an all-time performance in the 1600 meter final at the 2025 state meet, overcoming a fractured ankle in a fall at the start of the race to come back and still place fifth. During the 2026 track season, she has broken the school record in the 1600 meter run and the 3200 meter run. She has also been recognized as a Distinguished Graduate and achieved a 4.43 grade point average. Sadie will run track and field and cross country on a scholarship at Indiana University. Quinn Wu led the Greyhound Soccer team to its first state championship since 2006. Wu was named the State Player of the Year while leading the Greyhounds to the MaxPreps National Championship. Quinn was honored to the Coaches Association First Team All-State and also named an All-American. He has also been named a Distinguished Graduate and achieved a 4.37 grade point average. Quinn will attend Indiana University in the fall.
