By Aaron McRill | Apr 25, 2026 10:36 PM

The Carmel Girls Track & Field team delivered a strong night of racing at the Carmel Distance Showcase, where all races contested were 3200m events. The night was highlighted by a historic performance from Sadie Foley. Foley finished third in a loaded Championship Heat with a time of 10:14.54, breaking Carmel’s 23-year-old school record by nearly 12 seconds. The previous record of 10:26.30 was set in 2003 by Katie Harrington. Foley’s performance currently ranks No. 29 in the United States and No. 3 in Indiana for 2026. Carmel also had two more standout performances in the Championship Heat. Annabel Pollert finished in 10:32.83, ranking No. 104 nationally and No. 10 in Indiana, while Larkin Taylor followed closely in 10:34.35, giving the Greyhounds three athletes inside the top 11 in Indiana. The Greyhounds showed impressive depth throughout the evening, with seven athletes finishing under 12 minutes in the 3200m. Anna Yoon opened the night with an 11:50.69, followed by Lilliana Cate in 11:53.76. Jade Gaczkowski ran 11:35.19, Ellie Smith finished in 11:40.42, and Maddie Cox added an 11:37.45. From the opening heat to the championship race, Carmel competed with toughness, focus, and depth against one of the strongest distance fields of the season. It was another big step forward for the Greyhounds as they continue building toward the championship stretch. Go Hounds! Full Results: https://mwt.live/meets/69454/events/individual/2554467
