Girls CC places 6th at FlashRock Invite

The girls cross country finished sixth in the highly competitive FlashRock Invitational at Northview in Carmel behind five of the top six ranked teams. The 'Hounds scored 186 points behind #1 FW Concordia (80), #2 Hamilton Southeasten (89), #4 Noblesville (100), #6 North Central (112) and #5 FW Carroll (169). Freshman Larkin Taylor again led the way for the 'Hounds, finishing 19th in 18:56. Junior Olivia Mundt (19:17) was 26th in team scoring and junior Katy Dascoli ran a big lifetime best in 19:22. Senior Cara Naas (19:56) and junior Ella Gaddis (19:56) closed out the scoring. In the JV, the 'Hounds won a tight three-team battle with 46 points over Noblesville (52) and North Central (58). Maddie Cox's third-place finish behind a pair from North Central paced the 'Hounds. Carmel is next in action in a return to the prestigious Culver Invitational on Saturday, September 23.
