The boys cross country team sent athletes to the FlashRock Invitational at Northview Church in Carmel and the Golden Bear Invite at Blue River Park in Shelbyville. At FlashRock, the 'Hounds won a narrow victory over a competitive field that included out-of-state Dublin Coffman, 79-82, with Warsaw just one back at 83 points. Senior Tony Provenzano finished second to Brebeuf senior Cameron Todd in a lifetime best of 15:00. The rest of the scorers finished in a pretty tight pack: freshman Jonah Kaul (15:58), sophomore Carter Buhr (16:06), senior Joel Spittal (16:09) and junior Jack Capes (16:12) gave the 'Hounds representation from every grade level. Junior Josh Cale (16:20) and sophomore Deklin Bowser (16:23) also competed. In Shelbyville, six different boys got their first varsity action ever, all of whom ran lifetime bests. Junior Will Gilhooly, in his first race of the season, finished 13th overall (10th in the black division for big schools) in 16:26. The 'Hounds finished third in the big school division with 101 points behind Fishers and Mt. Vernon.
