Carmel Boys Volleyball continued its strong early-season run with a straight-set victory over Bishop Chatard, winning 27-25, 25-20, 25-16 on Tuesday night. The Greyhounds were tested early in a tightly contested opening set but showed composure in key moments to pull out a 27-25 win. From there, Carmel found its rhythm, controlling the second and third sets behind efficient offense and consistent ball control. Jack Kovac led the way with a dominant offensive performance, delivering one of his strongest matches of the season and providing a consistent scoring presence at the net. Kovac finished with 13 kills on just 20 swings. At setter, Shep Spidel orchestrated the offense at a high level, distributing effectively and keeping multiple attackers involved throughout the match. Defensively, Brice Hagaman anchored the back row with a strong performance in digs, helping Carmel stay steady in transition and extend rallies. Dylan Kaiser continued his impressive start to the season, once again leading the Greyhounds in offensive efficiency and proving to be a reliable option in the middle. A key factor in the win was Carmel’s serve receive, which was sharp and consistent across the board. That stability allowed the Greyhounds to stay in system and operate offensively at a high level throughout the night. With the victory, Carmel improves to 7-2 on the season and continues to build momentum as it enters a demanding stretch of matches. The Hounds will travel to Center Grove on Wednesday April 1st before traveling to Roncalli on Saturday.
