The top ranked men’s soccer team played another top 10 matchup and came out on top by a score of 5-1. The victory tonight pushes their record to 5-0-1 on the season. Junior Johnny Gourley finished a beautiful goal in the first half to put the Hounds in the lead. With the score tied 1-1 at halftime, the Greyhounds made a few adjustments and came out in the second half to find the back of the net four more times with goals scored by seniors Hayden Warneke, Connor Dora, Christian Nielsen, and Nicky Basso. Assisting on the goals tonight were seniors Jackson Jones, Brigham Forsythe, John Gilbert, Connor Dora, and Nick Wu. The Hounds return to action at beautiful Murray Stadium on Tuesday, September 5th vs Lawrence North for Senior Night. Kickoff of the game will follow the conclusion of the JV game and the Senior Night ceremony. The JV put forth another solid performance tonight with a 3-1 victory over the Tigers. The Hounds JV team returns to action vs Lawrence North with a 5:30 kickoff.
