Boys and Girls CC Teams Compete at John Cleland Invite 4k

The boys and girls cross country teams competed over 4000 meters at the John Cleland Invite hosted by Zionsville at Northview Church. Races were separated by class with freshmen and sophomores competing first followed by juniors and seniors. The meet began with the boys frosh/soph division where the Greyhounds placed fifth as a team with 150 points, led by freshman Jonah Kaul's second place overall finish. The girls were also fifth in their race with 152 points, led by freshman Larkin Taylor in sixth. Both Kaul and Taylor had the best times of all Carmel finishers. In the junior/senior race, the boys were sixth with 184 points. Senior Joey Arroyo moved through the field all race, ultimately finishing 30th to led the 'Hounds. The girls improved upon the showing from the frosh/soph race by scoring 85 points to finish third. Senior Audrey Ricketts was tenth. In combined scoring, the boys were sixth with 174 points and the girls were fourth with 131 points. The 'Hounds next compete at the Hamilton County championship, hosted by Noblesville at White River Elementary.
